Our Focus Areas

Fidelitas is Gender transformative. We work to improve health outcomes and promote gender equity across Uganda and Africa at large. Our innovations and programs address NCDs, maternal and child health, infectious diseases, sexual and reproductive health, and gender-based violence. We believe that health equity and gender equality are fundamental to sustainable development and community wellbeing.

Our education programs focus on improving access to quality education, strengthening education systems, and building capacity among educators and learners. We support early childhood development, primary and secondary education, vocational training, and adult literacy programs. We believe education is the foundation for individual empowerment and community transformation.

At Fidelitas, Intelligent Community Response Systems (ICRS) represent a convergence of Sociology, Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to address real-life needs and challenges. We leverage on simple accessible social-tech tools, such as basic mobile phones, group-based televisual AI learning hubs, and open source digital applications to reduce the digital divide by transforming community members into immediate intelligent data users. This process concurrently fosters digital literacy by requiring consistent, practical engagement with the technology, thereby building essential skills among local community users. The ICRS supports localized learning, identify emerging patterns and needs, and instantly push back highly refined, evidence-based insights and specific action protocols directly to the field teams, thus empowering and implementing truly community-led interventions that are dynamic, precise, and immediately responsive to the data collected by the community itself.

We support communities to build resilience against climate change through sustainable environmental practices, climate-smart agriculture, and ecosystem conservation. Our programs promote renewable energy, sustainable land management, disaster risk reduction, enviromnental conservation, and climate adaptation strategies. We recognize that climate action is essential for protecting livelihoods and ensuring sustainable development.

We work to ensure that communities have sustainable access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food. Our programs support sustainable agriculture, nutrition education, value chain development, and food systems strengthening. We address both immediate food needs and long-term food security through integrated approaches that build community resilience and promote healthy nutrition practices.
